Move Surface Point Along An Arch

 

This is a costum displacement shader moving P to a new position along an arch. So the displacement can be bent.

You will need the template zjDisplacements and the head file zjbuiltins.h for a quick test.

This is what we have.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Apply a cookie-cutter to its opacity.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Attach the displacement of zjBent to the patch. Set the parameters like this. The R-channel of the image map will control the value of the angle. So the angle will reach Max Angle where the texture appears to totally white.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the effect of the bent displacement.
